
Outdoor museum of Luicciana
The small village of Luicciana, in the municipality of Cantagallo, houses since 1982 the Outdoor Museum made up of installations of contemporary artists, more or less famous. This collection of works of art spread throughout the territory is connected to artistic movements like the Arte Povera or the Land Art that contribute to get the works of art out of galleries and museums. It is if fact in this context that the Outdoor Museum of Luicciana houses many of the leading artists of the Florentine artistic avant-garde of the sixties and seventies such as Vinicio Berti, Silvio Loffredo, Gualtiero Nativi. The streets and the squares of Luicciana host frescos, ceramic and iron installations, sculptures, polymaterial objects, in a wide range of techniques.
