Quinto Martini Museum Park
The park is dedicated to Quinto Martini, sculptor and painter born in Seano and introduced to the art by Ardengo Soffici, of whom he was a student and friend. Designed by the architect Ettore Chelazzi, it is located on a green area of more than 30,000 m2 along the Furba creek, in the hamlet of Seano. Inaugurated in 1988, it represents one of the most prestigious outdoor sculpture complexes in Europe dedicated to a single author. In the area, composed of large green flowerbeds among pebble boulevards, there are 36 bronze statues and bas-reliefs donated by the artist, in a suggestive relation with the surrounding hills. The relationship with his own origin land is inherent to the work of Quinto Martini, who considers the art a civil engagement and a permanent dialogue with his own territory, its history and inhabitants.
