Textile Museum
The only museum in Italy dedicated entirely to textile art and technology, it is located in the rooms of the former Campolmi factory, a large textile factory located inside the medieval walls, a monument of industrial archaeology of the nineteenth century. The museum heritage consists in a considerable collection of textile fragments produced in various countries of the world from antiquity to now.
A vast room, covered by modern wooden and steel trusses, is used for temporary exhibitions. The museum has also a rich specialised section for documents and books.
