Isla Negra to Pablo Neruda

Author: Giò Pomodoro

Title: Isla Negra to Pablo Neruda (1975/1976)

According to what he asserted, the artist intended to create a "...wrecked, twisted, precarious window that closes the landscape as in a clamp, but that stays up in any case, of which the project was not annihilated". That house, black island, which was swept away with the poet during the Chilean tragedy of 1973. Pomodoro has dedicated this work to Neruda, after having meditated about it in the three years of work necessary for its production.
