Carnevalino Feast

On the first Saturday after Ash Wednesday, the Carnevalino takes place in Sant'Ippolito di Vernio.
The protagonist is pasta with tuna fish sauce and herrings. In the morning members of the "Compagnia dell'Aringa", disguised in the most bizarre ways and with a cane in hand from which hangs a herring, go from house to house to collect offers. To earn, at any cost, an offer that could perhaps be circumvented by the absence of the head of the family, the "aringofili" go to pick him up where he is, even at work, and raise him on a sort of gestation chair, accompanying him at home in the middle of a farcical procession.
In the afternoon in the square it is possible to eat, sing and laugh thanks to the improvisation and the fantasy of the inhabitants, without a real program.
