Cardinal Niccolò square

The square is located within the historic city walls. Flanked by eighteenth-century buildings to the north and by 1865 ones to the south, it is closed at the bottom by the side of the Monastery church and by the wall of the courtyard of the Conservatory of San Niccolò. In the middle of the square there is a fountain surrounded by stone beds from which a pedestrian path originates.
Some municipal offices, a primary school and the presence of the Conservatory, which hosts all school orders from kindergarten to high school, make it a central and very busy place. The square has been recently renovated thanks to a redevelopment plan that has enhanced the historical and architectural features of the place that, from a simple transit space, has been transformed into a livable part of the city completely integrated with the surrounding space.
