Ren Hang

The exhibition offer of the Pecci Center is enriched with the first Italian exhibition dedicated to the acclaimed Chinese photographer and poet Ren Hang (Changchun 1987 - Beijing 2017), tragically disappeared at the age of thirty. The artist, who never wanted to be considered a political artist - despite his photographs being considered pornographic and subversive in China - is known above all for his research on body, identity, sexuality and man-nature relationship, which has as its protagonist a new, free and rebellious Chinese youth. The exhibition is a selection of shots from international collections, capable of restoring all the intensity of his poetics.
