Soffici and Carena. Ethics and nature

Ten years after its foundation, the Soffici Museum continues the path of knowledge in the art of the last century, deepening Ardengo Soffici's relationships with illustrious colleagues. From the 26th of October the new exhibition focuses on the historical-artistic events that linked Soffici to another protagonist of the contemporary painting, who had international fame, Felice Carena.
Thirty-six works each, with different unpublished works, are the focus of an exhibition that parallels the two artists, exalting their profound harmony of views on an ethical, professional, moral and ideal level. Each with their own convictions and adhesions as far as aesthetics was concerned, but with references to artists towards whom their esteem converged: Cézanne, Spadini, Medardo Rosso, and common friendships, including Carlo Carrà and Filippo de Pisis.
Exhibition curated by Luigi Cavallo.
With the collaboration of Oretta Nicolini, Luigi Corsetti.
